Tutorial Thursday: Secret Box





Hello Everyone!
Martha here with you today!
We will be making a secret box together.
There are other names for it but thats the name I like!
So lets get Started!

Cardstock pieces required:

one - 7 1/4" x 7 1/4"
two - 9" x 9"
one - 6 1/2" x 6 3/4"
one - 6 1/2" x 7 1/4"

Dies I used for my finished box

Open Leaf Flourish Die



Place the 7 1/4" x 7 1/4" cardstock piece on the scoreboard and score at 1", 2", 5 1/4" and 6 1/4".
Rotate cardstock 90 degrees to the left/right and score again at 1", 2", 5 1/4" and 6 1/4".


Do you cutting as shown in Pictures Below




Reinforce all ScoreLines
Place glue on the outside of the four small tab, and the inside of the four large tabs
Adhere your lid together as show below


Your Lid Is finished!!

Now lets work on your Super Secret Drawers!

Place the 9" x 9" cardstock piece on the scoreboard and score at 1 1/2", 3", 6 and 7 1/2".
Rotate cardstock 90 degrees to the left/right and score again at 1 1/2", 3", 6 and 7 1/2".
Repeat for second Drawer.

Cut out pieces with exes on them


Cut tabs as shown below


Reinforce all ScoreLines
Place glue on the outside of the four small tabs, and the inside of the four large tabs
Adhere your drawers together as shown below.


Now lets do the Sides!

score The 6 1/2" x 7 1/4" on the 7 1/4 side at 1/2", 3 5/8" and 6 3/4" 
- rotate 90 degrees and score at 1 5/8" and 4 7/8"

- score the 6 1/2" x 6 3/4" on the 6 1/2 side at 1/2", 3 5/8"  
- rotate 90 degrees and score at 1 5/8" and 4 7/8"



Cut all the pieces with exes on them.
this is how it should look.


Join the 2 pieces together as shown below.

Glue in place to form the sides of your box.


Glue one of the drawers as shown below, to form the right-side bottom drawer.



Glue the other drawer as shown below, to form the left-side top drawer.

Thats it!
Now decorate as you wish!
I did Mine with some of our Fab La-La Land Crafts Dies!
